Linuxを使う機会があったので報告します。
CentOS release 5.3をインストールした後に、yumで5.8までアップグレードしました。
dmesgを晒しておきます。

ちなみに、ハードの型番は以下の通りです。

しかし、FreeBSDに比べて、dmesgも半端ない長さになりますね。

上の情報をテキストで取得するために、telnetのサービスとxinetdをインストールしてから、
xinetdを有効にし、更に、iptablesのtelnetのポートを開いたりと、なんか、Linuxって面倒っすー。
