ちょっと前の話になりますが、
「最新のエントリ」と「最新のコメント」の表示数を、5個から10個に変えました。
長く表示されて、バランスが少し改善されたかな?
もっと多くてもいいかな。
最近、ADSL回線が切れる事が多くなりました。
なんせ、使っている最中に切れて再接続しにいくので、その度に、作業が中断されます。
遊びにしか使ってないので、実害はあまりありませんが、自宅サーバのIPアドレスも、
その度に変わるでしょうから、少々、穏やかではありません。

天気のよい日にも発生するので、雨の影響ではなさそう。
まともにログがとれるルータならいいんだけど、そうじゃないから、こちらでは、ほとんど打つ手がなし。
ちなみに、これは、プロバイダのレンタル物です。

半日ほどモデムの電源を停止して再接続したら、状況が好転した感じ。
接続先のネットワークのセグメントが変わったので、それが良かったのかも。
って事は、アクセスポイントに、調子の悪いモデムが居たのかな?
Linuxを使う機会があったので報告します。
CentOS release 5.3をインストールした後に、yumで5.8までアップグレードしました。
dmesgを晒しておきます。

しかし、FreeBSDに比べて、dmesgも半端ない長さになりますね。

上の情報をテキストで取得するために、telnetのサービスとxinetdをインストールしてから、
xinetdを有効にし、更に、iptablesのtelnetのポートを開いたりと、なんか、Linuxって面倒っすー。

ビープ音に近い感じですが、かと言って、ビープ音でもない様な微妙な音色です。
どこかで、接触不良でも起こしているのかも知れません。

頻度としては、1回/週くらいでしょうか。
鳴っている時間は、2~3秒ほどです。
ずっーと部屋にいる訳ではないので、もっと頻発しているのかも。

このノートPCは、液晶パネルに縦線が入っている状態なので、それも関係しているのでしょうか?

rogueと言っても、知らない人が多いかもしれません。
RPGの元祖みたいなゲームです。

グラフィックがない時代の、BSD系UNIXのゲームです。
後継に、NetHackとかありますが、細かい話はググって下さい。

上から見た平面図になります。
@ が自分です。地下一階のダンジョン(Level: 1)にいます。
自分の左に、ちょうどH(ホブゴブリン)がいて、ガチンコバトル中です。
% は下に降りる階段です。

で、このゲーム、何をするかと言うと、どんどん地下に降りて行って「イェンダーの魔除け」なるアイテムを
取ってくるのが目的です。

下に行けば行くほど、強敵が現れます。(ドラゴンもいるよ)
その間に、ゴールドやアイテムを手に入れて、鎧を着たり、武器を変えたり、魔法の指輪をはめたり、薬を飲んだり、
魔法の杖をふったり、魔法の呪文を唱えたりしつつ、たまに飯を食いながら、敵と戦っていきます。

移動は、hjklで、左下上右に移動します。(カーソルキーが使える場合もあり)
i を押せば、手に入れたアイテムが表示されます。
? を押して、* を押せば、使用できるコマンドが表示されます。

単純なテキストだけのゲームですが、それゆえに、想像力をかきたてる、奥の深いゲームです。
ちなみに、かなり難しいです。

FreeBSDの場合、/usr/ports/games/bsdgames をインストールすれば、オッケーです。
ただし、rogue以外のゲームもインストールされます。

こちらの情報によると、5.3系は、後2年でセキュリティパッチの提供がなくなるとの事。

xoops側の対応は大丈夫かな?
今の時点では、影響がどれくらいなのか、分からないけど。

xoopsについて言うと、コア部分は対応するでしょうが、問題はモジュールの方ですね。
年月とともに、メンテナンスが、おざなりになっていくでしょうし。


他に、気になる事が一つ。
PHP5-5.3.13 で、/usr/local/etc/php.ini-production の中にこんな表現が。

マジッククォート機能についてですが、元々、6.0 で廃止のはずでしたが、
早送りで、5.4 で廃止になるとな?

ちょっと検索したら、あら確かに。

get_magic_quotes_gpc(void) が、5.4.0 では、常にFALSE を返すようになりました。
今まで「magic_quotes_gpc = On」前提でコードを書いている場合は、5.4へ移行する時に注意が必要です。


FreeBSDのportsも、/usr/ports/lang/php5が、5.3系から5.4系に変更になった模様。
これって、インストールしている5.3系のPHPを、何も考えずに「portmaster lang/php5」とかやると、
5.4系に上がっちゃうって事でしょうか?

5.3系に残りたい場合は「portmaster lang/php53」で良いのかな?
今度、PHPをアップデートする時に、実験してみよう。
