せっかく購入したMacですが、今までWindowsを大きな画面で使っていたせいか、
少々フラストレーションが。

そこで「クラムシェルモード」に挑戦してみる事にしました。

必要な物
・キーボード
・マウス or トラックパッド
・ケーブル (Macとディスプレイを接続します)
・大きなディスプレイ
・もちろんMacも必要だぞ

買ってきたキーボードやマウスは、純正品にこだわってみました。
ここで凄いなぁと思ったのが、キーボードのキーの大きさや間隔が、MacBook Airと同じに作ってあるという事。
タッチタイピングする人にとっては大事ですよね。

私はタッチタイピングができない種族なのですが、それでも、キーの間隔が変わると「アレアレ?」となってしまい、
キー入力がつらくなります。(イライライラ・・・)
皆さんも、会社のキーボードと自宅のキーボードが違うでしょうから、キー入力に違和感があったりしませんか?

Appleは、そういう事まで、ちゃんと考えてるんですね。

実は、当初買ったキーボードに初期不良があり、交換してもらったという裏話があるのですが、
ジョブズの名誉のために、ここだけの話にしておいてあげましょう。

ちなみに、初期不良として扱ってくれるのは購入から2週間までなので「おかしいな?」と思ったら、
すぐにお店に行きましょう。

さてさて、大きなディスプレイで表示してみると、やはり快適です。
実際の画面は、他の方々がアップしているでしょうから、そっちを見て頂きたく。(おいおい)

今は、まだWindows7がディスプレイを使っていたり、アプリの検証とかまだなので、Mac単体の使用に戻しました。

って事は、このメールを受信した人は、
とりあえず、その事を知っていれば良いって意味ですよね?
何もアクションを起こす必要は、なしですよね?

実は、ある人からメールをもらって「F.Y.I.」と書いてあったので、そのまま放置しておいたのですが、
よくよく確認してみると、送った本人は何もしていなかったという驚愕の事実が!

既に、ちょー化石扱いの話なのですが、実は、家の場合、まだ対応をしていなかった訳でして。
それと、こんな話もあります。

Perlの5.8系と5.10系がportsから削除された様です。
そろそろ、5.14系に移っておいた方が良いかな?

どうも調子が良くないです。
詳しく言うと、家の場合、GnuDIPを使ってmyhome.cxへDDNSの更新を行っているのですが、
ここ1週間ほど、GnuDIPがエラーを出してDDNSがきかない状態です。

ちなみに、GnuDIPは、こんなメッセージを出してます。

Could not connect to ieserver.net:3495

これってつまり、うちの回線が再接続してIPアドレスが変わると、
fukuchan.myhome.cxへの名前解決ができないため、外からは、サイトがあぼーんな状態に。

症状が現れ出したのが6月29日で、一応、何回か報告のメールを送ったのですが、
梨のつぶてでした。

仕方がないので、ddns-update.pl で代用したところ、こっちは大丈夫な模様。
しばらく様子見です。

iPhone5 買いました

Apple教に、少しずつ洗脳されている今日この頃、皆さん、お変わりはありませんでしょうか?
先日、私はiPhone5を購入しました。

iPhoneを購入したのは良いのですが、例によって、使いこなしていない私であります。
先日も、電車の時刻表を写真に撮っている話をしたら、時刻表アプリがあるよんって言われる始末。

まぁ、私としては、写真の方が楽なんですが。
単純に、帰宅時に見るだけなので。

写真って言えば、iPhoneで撮った写真って、ファイル名が変えられないんですよね。
フォルダ分けもしたいので、さっそくアプリを導入して、ファイル名を変更/分類毎に分けてみました。
私が使っているのは、 ヒマワリが目印の i写真フォルダ です。
ふむ、これは便利だ。
実は、机のカドにMacBook Airをぶつけて、本体に少し傷がつきました。
ほとんど目立ちませんが、ちょっとブルーな気分に。
周りにいる先人達のMacを見ると、やはり、本体には年季の入った形跡があります。

出来れば綺麗に使いたいので、保護カバーを買ってきました。
私が購入したのは、透明のカバーを本体にはめ込む形式のものです。

名前は「エアージャケット for MacBook Air 13inch (Late 2010)」

これで、多少ぶつけても、ノープロブレムっす。

ただ気を付ける点が一つ。
自分で、底面にゴム足を付けるんですけど、ただのシールなので、すぐに剥がれる可能性が大です。
瞬間接着剤で付けちゃいましょう。

会社のiMacを修理した件

壊れたまま放置されていた会社のiMacを、修理する事になりました。
銀座のAppleStoreから、そんな遠くない場所なので、タクシーを使って持ち込む事に。

しかし、どでかいiMacを両手に担いで、銀座のAppleStoreに入るには、ちと勇気が必要でした。

故障状況ですが、HDDがだめらしくHDD交換に。
2万円ちょいで、修理完了。
思っていたより安く、安心しました。

実は、コールセンター経由で修理すると、倍以上の料金になったらしいです。
今回は、持ち込んで正解でした。

ここのエレベータって全面ガラスばりで、おしゃれですね。
エレバータ内部のボタンも、「開く」ボタン以外、何もなし?
行きたい階を押す事も出来ない仕組みの様。

各階止まりで、行ったり来たりしている感じ。

なるほろ。そういう考え方もありなエレベータな訳ね。
相変わらず、発想が斬新ですね、Apple。
前回(http://fukuchan.myhome.cx/modules/d3blog/details.php?bid=114)は、5.3をインストールしましたが、今回は、6.3の64bit版です。

訳あって、SELinuxのモードは、permissive modeで。
ハードは、前回と同じく、ThinkPad R61e (7649-3VJ)です。
